When I received this song and another I had a smile from ear to ear. But God was I pissed when it wasn’t an mp3! I have nothing but love for the folks that hook me up. I was just hyped and wanted to throw this on my ipod with the quickness. Instead I played the video like 12 times that night. Lucky for us Herfection got our backs with the SoundCloud drop. This track even has a Pepsi commercial spot. Yes, big things from the man known as Outasight. *Salutes*
The track was recorded a few months back in LA with Cook Classics and Gigamesh. I’m really proud of this one and I hope it becomes that track that you just can’t stop listening to. Starting tomorrow night you can hear “Tonight Is The Night” in a commercial during X-Factor played behind some absolutely classic footage.
In this episode araabMUZIK talks about his foundation and beginnings learning the MPC and how it took years to perfect his craft. He also discusses upcoming projects with his Dipset crew and other artists including Slaughterhouse, 50 Cent, etc and how he’s considered a performing artists more than just a studio producer. Finally, araabMUZIK also blesses the MPC for a live performance that will undoubtedly prove he’s one of the best to freak the MPC live.

“I try to make albums like movies, man.” Catching up with RZA behind the scenes at Rock the Bells, it was clear that he sees everything through the prism of a movie screen, including Wu-Tang’s 1993 classic album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). When asked how it all came together, he compared the platinum album’s genre-busting style and MC collaboration to John Woo’s 1989 cult classic Hong Kong action film The Killer, just don’t ask us what it means. RZA’s lyrical genius is as prolific and out-there as ever, so grab yourself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and take a trip to Shaolin…RZA does not disappoint.
If you haven’t seen any of their skits, get to it!
For our next interview, we sat down with Jeff and Eric Rosenthal otherwise known as comedy duo It’s The Real. In our interview we talk about how they got their start (Eric worked with Kanye West, Jeff as a writer for Rap-Up). We discuss the start of It’s The Real, branching out into podcasts, working with MTV, and projects they’re working on for the future.

This series is too dope and inspiring. I feel the up-and-coming generation needs to follow this series. Not only does it document influential people of now, it goes into their history and how they came to be what they are now. The influencers who influenced them.
See how this cat came up? Now he’s in private planes. I have nothing but respect for Wiz Khalifa’s hustle. Peep the fucking hotel suite they have in Vegas! And obviously the bags the size of a pillow full of that green is included.
GQ’s Devin Friedman spends a day/night with Rick Ross and shares the experience. I’m not going to say much since it’s a read you should dive into.
In the age of hipster rap, the dude on top is a 300-pound former corrections officer who stole the name of a drug dealer. Devin Friedman spends one day and one wild night learning from the reigning godfather of hip-hop.
We go behind the scenes of the ALWAYS ON series by Nike Sportswear featuring Darrelle Revis with music by Jesse Boykins III. Very dope I must say.
In Darrelle Revis’ new ALWAYS ON video, we witness the work ethic that has made him football’s most dominant cornerback. But this behind-the-scenes footage supplies further depth, especially about his interests in music. “The stereotypical athlete lives and dies sports,” says Jesse Boykins III, who provided the backing song “Island of Greatness.” “It’s good to know a cat like Darrelle is passionate about other things.” Before writing the track, Darrelle supplied a list of his favorite artists and influences, from which Boykins created a musical “gumbo.” Of course, we see Darrelle mixing it up on the field too. “They’re working me out a little bit,” he says during the shoot, his sweaty brow glistening under the beaming sun. And opposing receivers will be singing a sad song all season long.
Tyler goes on to explain why he’s hates Bruno Mars’ music and reiterates his VMA acceptance speech, and he also doesn’t like certain black figures in entertainment.
Was this all it took for people such as myself to realized that skinny jeans should come to an end? After watching the VMAs I was already thinking that this dude lost his mind with those leopard print spray-on tights. Although I’m a purveyor of skinny jeans, sadly I can no longer support this trend. Maybe Weezy’s stylist made a mistake. Maybe they ran out of other jean designs. Whether if any of those things happened the trend must come to an end.
To make matters even worse, they were women’s jeggings! There’s no way I can look at Weezy the same. Hood pass revoked, rockstar card declined, masculinity turned away at the door. It’s bad enough Wayne threw out a corny subliminal diss at Jay-Z on It’s Good, and Beyonce’s pregnancy/belly rub was the highlight of the night. He decides to provide us with shitty performance to end the VMAs and wore those painted-on jeans that were made for the female gender. Why Wayne? Why? The silver lining in all this for Wayne is that his album is projected to sell 700k its first week. But the majority of people will remember his wack jab at Jay and him wearing a tranny’s nut-huggers.
Oh and if you ladies would like a pair of those fabulous jeggings (laughs) they’re made by Tripp NYC. You can buy them here for $44.
