Apple I Hate You

Apple why must you torment me with your incessant updates/upgrades, leaving me to believe that my main problem with your glorious phone would be fixed. Alas, I finish upgrading and there’s nothing but minor changes that I’ll never notice. With the understanding that some bugs and security failures need attending to, I can never comprehend as to why you guys would overlook such a huge flaw in your device. You describe the phone with such grandiosity that it’ll make a blind person buy it.

Leila Lopes Made Angola Relevant

Miss Angola Leila Lopes is crowned by Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete of Mexico after being named Miss Universe 2011 during the Miss Universe pageant in Sao Paulo September 12, 2011.

If you’re like me then you would’ve also had no clue that Miss Universe was on last night.

Am I sorry for that? No.

What I am sorry for is missing this absolute beauty of a woman. Leila Lopes has made Angola somewhat relevant again outside of Capoeira. *Applauds* While some guys are obsessed with lighter skinned women (me included), there are still some gorgeous dark skinned women out there. Leila Lopes may have changed some views, not mine though. In my eyes no women can be as dark or darker than me. It’ll be like two shadows having sex, one of us has to see the other and I’d rather see you. But Leila Lopes is the only exception, although she is lighter than me so…

Anyway I’ve gone off the subject. Having not seen the pageant my only assumption is that the other contestants looked like Bubba from Forrest Gump since I couldn’t imagine any of them looking better than Lopes.

I love this woman!

Mya Should Thank Her Lower Half

It’s amazing how the littlest or in this instance the biggest attribute can change a person’s career. For Mya it may have resurrected it. At least a few times during the week there will be a photo on Twitter of Mya looking beautifully thick, when this happens it’s retweet galore. Yes, I have fallen victim to eye-humping Mya’s photos like the rest of the male population.

Veuve Clicquot Origami??

vorigami1.jpg

What we have here is Clicq’up Origami Ice Bucket by Mathias van de Walle. The whole idea is pretty damn cool. The only I problem I have is that Veuve Clicquot has ran it course, at least with me. Every brunch or dinner someone wants to order a damn bottle. Don’t get me wrong its tasty, but I’m over it. Now I’m on the quest to find another overpriced bottle of champagne to fulfill my inner smugness.

Video: Will The Internet Finally Get A Sarcasm Font?

All it took was thee interns to finally push an idea that most of the world has wanted for years. Let’s make this happen please! I’m tired of saying I’m joking every two txts, tweets, FB comments, and even posts on here.

A lot of people have tweeted about needing a sarcasm font on the internet. We have a sarcasm font style called sartalics, left-leaning italics, to show that you’re being sarcastic and can work with any font on any platform.

Tweeting sporadically hasn’t worked to well in the past but we’re gathering 10,000 people to twitterblitz the execs all at the same time.

Scott Rothstein’s Watch Collection Is God-like

If you’re not familiar with Scott Rothstein let’s do some quick backtracking. Ever heard of a Ponzi scheme? Yup. This tool decided to follow in the footsteps of the now infamous Bernie Madoff — he orchestrated a scheme that came out to be a $1.2 billion bill (of course he didn’t tip). Word is that Rothstein was an upstanding South Florida lawyer with friends in big places, like Florida Governor Charlie Crist. It should’ve became clear that wasn’t upstanding but instead a complete douche once he was found flaunting his numerous houses, yachts, cars, and whatever else rich idiots have.

Eventually, Rothstein was figured out by the Feds and is now facing 50 years of butthole-raping time in prison. Hopefully the victims could find some solace in this and also that the Feds will be holding an auction to sell virtually everything he has.

These are the 10 most interesting watches (out of 262) being sold during the auction, which will be held July 13th, 2011.

Most of the watches are worth tens of thousands of dollars apiece. RI-DIC-U-LOUS!

Pics after the jump.

Video: NYC Police Hate Cyclists

This had me on the floor. Honestly the bike lanes aren’t the safest place for bikers. I’m one of the assholes that walk in the bike lane, yet I’m getting a bike.

The Situation Gets A Show Now???

So the execs at MTV figured “what the hell! Let’s give it a shot.” If the show involves The Situation getting genital warts from a land-mine disguised as a grenade, then I may watch.

THR:

Mike Sorrentino, better known as The Situation, has inked a pact with the cable network for a potential series. Sorrentino is not attached to a specific project at the moment, but a pilot presentation will be filmed later this year for a possible series pickup.

This comes after the cable network greenlit two untitled Jersey Shore spinoff series: one features Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley, while the second is led by Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio. Both shows, expected to bow some time in 2012, center on the trio’s lives away from Jersey Shore.

MTV exec Chris Linn told THR in an interview the same day the pickups were announced, that the spinoffs will not dilute the franchise. “I think it allows us to expand out from the base of Jersey Shore without taking away from what Jersey Shore is. They would continue to be involved in any potential future cycles of Jersey Shore,” Linn reassured at the time.

Jersey Shore is MTV’s top-rated series of all-time; its third season averaged a 7.7 rating in the persons 12-34 demographic, up drastically from the first two seasons.
