All I know is that that’s a big ass book and I want to jot, doodle, scribble, transcript, and scribe on it.

Starting at Tokyo’s Mori Art Museum in 2006, Cameroon-born artist Bili Bidjocka and Lausanne-born curator Simon Njami have been traversing the world inviting creatives of varied professional backgrounds to write on the blank pages of eight enormous books “as if it were their the last opportunity to hand write something.” Their project, called Ecriture Infinie, emphasizes the gestures of writing and the flow of pen on paper rather than actual content.

The Lost Beatles Photographs


The title of the book says it all. There are 900 photos of The Beatles being way more awesome than we could ever be. Don’t lie to yourself, The Beatles were living THAT life. The Beatles former manager Bob Bonis unleashed his personal stash of photos for the book called The Lost Beatles Photographs. Take a gander at some of the photos from the book below.

Not Your Average Pop-Up Books

A new exhibition at Bowdoin College showcases pop-up books—for children and adults—from the Harold M. Goralnick (Class of ’71) Pop-up Book Collection. The exhibition, which is open to the public free of charge, is located on the second floor of Bowdoin’s Hawthorne-Longfellow Library. It runs through June 5, 2011.
