Why I Can’t Stand Dick Vitale

Everyone knows who Dick Vitale is and if you’re really familiar you’ll know what gets him hard. COMMENTATING DUKE GAMES. I swear every Duke game I’ve watched since I was in high school this guy goes ape-shit when they play. Vitale goes on and on about how wonderful the Duke players are even if 90% of the players he talks about don’t even make it to the NBA. This anger isn’t coming from a North Carolina fan, its coming from a basketball fan. There seems to be a bias when he’s on-board for a Duke game, he rarely talks about the other teams players until they do something great, which is fine if he wasn’t groveling over all the Duke players before the tip-off. Dick Vitale is a big reason as to why college basketball is so popular now, but all I ask for is some exposure for the other team. Don’t get me wrong Duke tends to blow out the opposition, I give them that, but up until last year they haven’t won any championships since Jason Williams played which was 2001, so what happened to all the other teams that won those titles between then? Vitale didn’t ride for them the way he does for Duke. If you notice, every Duke game that’s on ESPN who’s front and center yelling “ooooh baby! yeeeeah baby! Coach K, I wanna blow you!” Dick Vitale. I dare you to say I’m wrong when talking about this, just watch the Duke game tonight and I bet he’ll be there commentating and jerking off at the same time. If I happen to be wrong then the Gods have answered one of my prayers. Maybe.

One Of The Realest Journalist

Anderson Cooper proves why he’s loved in the world of journalism. He goes wherever the story is and has a no-holds-barred attitude about it, which is what the media needs. Today, Cooper managed to get attack while in Cairo during one of the worst protest the nation has had since this whole thing began, he remains alive so don’t worry.
Here’s the report from HuffPost:

“A man jumped out of the crowd and tried to push us around,” he said. “It sort of allowed other people in the crowd to focus on us. Other people came out of the crowd. Somebody punched me in the head, and from there things escalated quickly.”

The crew decided they had to turn around, he said. They tried to walk away “as calmly as possible,” but this did not calm the crowd around them.

“They were following us, screaming at us, ripping at our clothes,” he said. This lasted for five minutes. The mob threw bottles and water at the crew, and kept kicking and punching people. A few people tried to assist them, but they were overwhelmed by the pro-Mubarak group. Meanwhile, Egyptian soldiers watched the whole thing.

Cooper said he received four distinct blows to the head. “I’ve never been punched in the head before,” he said. “So they left an impression.”

He said it was the first time that he’d been directly attacked in a crowd while reporting a story. For now, he is staying away from Tahrir Square. It is not safe, he said, for any journalist to report from there.

He Gets My Approval

With the departure of Nick Fairley to the NFL, Auburn signee Gabe Wright aims to make fans forget all about the Nat’l Championship hero with “Nick Who” embroidered on his hat. He instantly put a ton of pressure on himself, but if he’s willing to accept it then much respect to that young man. Ugh, saying young man makes me sound old…

The Most Convenient Bike Ever

Its made for the daily city commuter, but not necessarily the bike warrior. I wouldn’t advise flying down Broadway thinking you can weave in and out like the maniacs bike messengers that do it on a daily basis. The design is super clean and sleek, and the best part is that it folds up, so you can actually bring it on the subway and not block the damn doors. The designer behind this is Mark Sanders.

Pato Models Nike National Team Kit

Much to my delight, Nike has released the Selecão kits. I’m a die-hard Brasil fan although I live in the US and “American.” Nonetheless, I always cheer for them, reasons being Pelé was the first and only soccer player I’ve known growing up, so you can see why I’m a fan. Soccer was the first sport I played growing up due to my liking of Pelé, and as I got older I tried other sports and excelled at them all, but my true love became basketball. Thank you, Dr. James Naismith. If you think you got game, come see me on the courts. I’m serious. If you think you’re nice at soccer, come see me…on Fifa 11. I’m nasty with Brasil. #TrueStory. Ask @JehovahHill, he found out the hard way. I’m getting off track, below are the track jackets and everything dope about Brasil jerseys/kits.
